“Between the Sounds” is a comic about the daily assault of mental noise, and trying to find that one place or person that helps you quiet your mind. This comic was made August 2017, the month after I started my MFA in Comics program. It was inspired by the song “Replica” by the XX who had recently released an album at the time. This comic marks the first time I started to learn how to visualize emotional states, and is dear to my heart for that reason.
